I love a good Christmas tag as it's an easy way of having a little nose at how people spend their Christmas and I always find myself getting all excited when I have a similar answer to someone #christmaspals I thought I'd share one today to give you a little insight into my Christmas traditions as we're now entering the official Christmas week eeee!

Favourite Christmas movie:
My favourite one ever has to be The Greatest Store In The World - so many people have never heard of it and my mum had to search high and low to get me a copy on DVD (we ended up getting one on Ebay but it wasn't ever officially released on DVD in this country which I can never understand!) I remember watching it on BBC1 for the first time when I was really little and it became a tradition to watch it on Christmas Eve every year after that - I've already watched it twice this year and I'm sure I'll manage to fit in another viewing before the big day arrives! I also love Home Alone 1&2, Love Actually, The Holiday, The Snowman & The Snowdog, A Christmas Carol (the Jim Carrey version), The Grinch, Santa Claus, The Polar Express, Jingle All The Way and I watched Arthur Christmas for the first time last night and absolutely loved it!!

 Opening Christmas presents:
When we were little my Mum used to get us a DVD to open on Christmas Eve to keep us occupied which I think was such a good idea - we have a strict rule in my family of no present opening before Christmas day and we always wake up to a stocking of little bits and bobs, then we tend to do our family presents after lunch.

Favourite Christmas memory:
This is a really tough one as I have so many, but last year my Grandad got a little bit merry and was talking to me and my Sister for ages about how much he loves our Dad; it was just the cutest thing ever and I love them both so much <3

Favourite festive food:
Mozzarella dippers, chocolate orange and a tin of heroes or celebrations :)

Favourite ever Christmas gift:
The first year me and James were together I really wanted a pair of grey Ugg boots and he went out of his way to get them for me; I can still remember how completely chuffed I was when I opened them and although I don't wear them much anymore, at the time I was completely besotted and he got them without any help from me so they were such a surprise! My loved ones always do such amazing, considerate presents though so there are many, many more but that one just always sticks out in my mind :)

Favourite Christmas scent:
I'm obsessed with the Glade Spiced Apple and Cinnamon Candle - it's always on offer for £2 and is such a festive scent which just instantly makes me feel like Christmas!

Christmas Eve traditions:
I've worked every Christmas eve for the past few years so I like to wear a festive Christmas jumper and have tinsel in my hair for the daytime and then as soon as I get home I put some festive pjs on and snuggle up on the sofa with James to watch The Snowman and The Snowdog and The Gavin & Stacey Christmas special :) We also like to have jacket potatoes and little nibbles *nomnomnom*

Christmas tree topper:
A glittery silver star :) My stepmumma still uses an angel I made when I was little though which makes me so happy <3

Best thing about Christmas:
Getting to spend time with my loved ones, the buzz of people rushing around getting their perfect Christmas bits, wishing complete strangers a Merry Christmas, hot chocolate, cosy festive jumpers, glitter nail polish and of course the pretty, sparkling lights everywhere :) I truly believe it is the most wonderful time of the year and it brings a little bit of cheer to what can be quite a stressful life.

Festive Films - Sticking on one of my favourite christmas films never fails to make me feel super festive, and I have to admit I've been watching these on rotation since the end of November #sorrynotsorry I love how they're films that I've grown up watching so they hold lots of happy memories for me and they're all such lovely, uplifting stories. I can imagine watching these with my children in years to come as they're all just timeless classics and I'm trying to watch all of them as many times as possible between now and the big day hehe!
The Body Shop Frosted Plum Lip Balm - I'm a huge fan of The Body Shop Argan Oil Lip Balm, but when mine ran out recently I couldn't resist giving this Frosted Plum one a try as I'd seen so many people raving about the range and it smelt incredible when I had a whiff of it in the shop. This is such a perfect and yummy wintery fragrance which I'm completely addicted to; I literally carry it around with me everywhere I go!! The lip butter itself is a pink toned purple which gives a little hint of colour to the lips and it also has a touch of festive sparkle :)
Yankee Christmas Cookie Candle - My Mumma got me this for Birthday and I've been burning it every day since; I'm a woman obsessed! It won't be everyones cup of tea as it is extremely sweet, but as you probably guessed from yesterdays post I'm a big lover of sweet smells and you just can't beat a Yankee candle; they burn for so many hours and have a really strong scent which fills the whole room *major heart eyed emoji moment*
Festive iPad Wallpaper - I couldn't resist downloading this festive background after reading Becky's post and I've got it on my phone too - it makes me smile so much every time I turn one of them on :) I love a bit of glitter this time of year and this is one of my favourite festive sayings as it reminds me to savour every moment of this month and enjoy all of the lovely little festive things around me like sparkly christmas lights, costa christmas cups and pretty door wreaths.
Soap & Glory 'The Whole She Bang' - Getting the big Soap & Glory gift set for half price in Boots has become a bit of a christmas tradition for me over the past couple of years, so I was super excited to get my hands on this little baby on Saturday :) It's such good value for money and never disappoints with the product selection, plus I love the carry case it comes in this year too - I'm planning to use it to take all of my beauty products/tools/equipment to college in the New Year.

I swear as the years go by fewer and fewer people seem to have real Christmas trees, and I know they can be a little bit of hassle with the needle dropping, watering (the first year we lived together I forgot to water the tree for over a week and it really didn't end well haha) and taking up a fair bit of space, but me and James are firm believers that you just can't beat a real tree and we had lots of fun going to choose ours last weekend. We wanted quite a short, chubby one that could stand on our side table as we don't have a huge amount of space in our apartment and we also wanted it to be pre-potted so it would be as easy as possible to get set up. When we got home we put Home Alone on in the background and worked our Christmas magic with the decorations; James does the lights and tinsel as I always get in a bit of a flap with them, then he leaves me to position the ornaments and pop our little star on top :)
I know it's not exactly traditional, but I always love to have a silver and pastel pink theme for our tree and it works well in our mauve and grey themed living room. This silver, glittery reindeer is my favourite ornament so he always gets pride of place at the front of the tree - I got him in a shop in Bruge when I went on a day trip to the Christmas markets there a couple of years ago with my family, so he's really special to me. The pot the tree came in was bright red which just did not flow with my theme at all, so I used a trick of a Mummas and disguised it with silver snowflake wrapping paper.
I got this little snowman in the same shop in Bruge and I love how he brings a little more character to the tree. I was super nervous he was going to get broken when we moved earlier this year as he's made from glass, but luckily everything was all in one piece when I got our Christmas box out from under the bed the other week :)
I do love a christmas sign and I'm pretty sure I got this one from the pound shop a couple of years ago, but I think it looks really classy (and hopefully you can't tell it was from a pound shop!!) I couldn't decide where to put it this year as this is our first christmas in this flat, but I quite like having it next to the tree, especially as it fits with my silver glitter theme :) The spiced apple and cinnamon Glade candle has been my favourite christmas candle for years as it's the one my mumma always had burning on christmas eve in our family home, so it always makes me feel like christmas and this year it's in a pink pot rather than a red one so I love it even more! I think I've been through about five of these already this year #oops They've been on offer for £2 in Tesco recently though so are an absolute bargain - if you haven't smelt it before you seriously need to have a whiff, it's so festive and yummy :)
I love having our advent calendars propped up against the TV stand as it means we can see them all the time and we've been completely addicted to the 'merryteaser' reindeer chocolates this year so we couldn't resist when it came to choosing our advent calendar! I love the little jokes that are on the doors each day too, they give me such a chuckle and you just can't beat being able to get away with having a piece of chocolate with your breakfast each morning!! We've been really enjoying watching our favourite christmas films over the past couple of weekends too - they never fail to make me feel super festive :)
I couldn't resist injecting just a little bit of festive cheer to my dressing table too with this adorable little reindeer snow globe :) It was cheap as chips in Primark last year and it makes me feel all happy and christmassy when I'm getting ready each morning. I'd been wanting a snow globe for ages but they always seem to be so expensive (and super heavy too!) so this has satisfied by snow globe needs for the time being - how adorable is his little green scarf?!
